HOW TO SURVIVE POST FESTIVAL DEPRESSION?!

After months of planning your Trip, getting more and more excited with every day closer to your Journey, packing camping gear, creating your own Festival Schedule so that you don't miss a single beat of your favorite DJ and mental preparation that you won’t get sleep for days – YOU DID IT! You not only survived to that festival, but you had the best days of your life with different people of different cultures.

Now it’s back to reality. After throwing your smelly clothes into the washing machine, taking a hot and very long shower and eating a proper meal on an actual table, you realize the days of madness are over. You’ll feel depressed and exhausted the more you think about the awesome time you just had.

We name this PFD - Post Festival Depression, but there’s help on the way! Here’s a collection of Tricks and Tips how to survive the post festival Depression:

1. Take off your Bracelet. YES. Take it off. Put it in the Box, give it a nice place in your room where you’re not tended to stare on all the time. Why? Because: ''Out of sight, out of mind!'', what works with snacks works also with other stuff. Plus you won’t get even more sad when your bracelet gets lost or destroyed - remember from this point on your Bracelet is not replaceable - except if you want to buy a used one from eBay.

2. Keep the videos and pictures and DON'T watch or post them all at once! In times of „#tbt" it’s great to keep the memories alive until you’re at the holy grounds of that Festival again.

3. Find new music. Ever wondered why your Friends wanted to go to another stage for closing or during the set of your favorite DJ? Or why your new friend you just met was so amazed by another set? – time to find out! New vibes will give you a better feeling than listening to the same songs over and over again.

4. Tell it to everyone! – either people get jealous, or they’re not interested, but some of them will listen and you will see that you’re doing better when you have someone to tell about the awesome time you had! Also: Stay in contact with old and new Friends - even when you're living in a different country!

5. Start planning! The next festival, the next trip, maybe a meeting with your new Friends? There’s so much more to do! If you know that it will make you happy: dive head forward into it!

6. Sleep, Vitamins, healthy food, lots of water and sports: just do it. After days of going hard and a lack of sleep your body is thankful for everything good!

7. Allow yourself to be sad. After all, it’s okay and everyone will understand – but don’t allow it to become too worse!!
After all you should still wear your happiest smile and look forward for the next big event of your life, no matter what or where it is!
